I am grateful for the opportunity to continue in the spirit of my own grandfather who was known as a "horse whisperer" long before the phrase became popular. I learned to speak "horse" from this great man.
Several years ago I began my own quest to integrate traditional horsemanship with everyday life. I learned from the tradition of the Native American Indians to see the horse as a companion and partner. They believed in communication through "feel" not intimidation, and in doing so created a reciprocal relationship based on trust. Not long ago, some great horsemen brought these philosophies to the public eye. With the influence of these horsemen and traditions steeped in partnership, I believe that the horse can also be our teachers. Through understanding our relationship with these magnificent animals, we can begin to explore our own relationship with our self and others. I believe in the spirit of the horse. I believe in the spirit of the human. I believe that our connection and partnership with the horse is a powerful gift. I look forward to our time together.
